From that moment, all I wanted to do was play the organ. So I begged my parents for an organ. A short while after that they purchased an old and highly used Hammond. I didn’t care, because my parent’s small living room suddenly became Carnegie Hall!...at least to me… Here's a picture of that Mighty Wurlitzer!
As my parents didn’t have much money while I was growing up, the only lessons I were able to take were those with myself being the teacher, using any books and manuals and teaching tools that I could gather. My love for the organ transitioned to the piano, which I have now been playing for over 30 years.
I have played many styles of music,
but growing up it was mostly church music, finding joy in those "soul resonating" deep and loud organ harmonies.
Now, with the piano, I enjoy playing virtually any kind of piano music, from Bach to Beethoven to modern pop, rock and country, new age, and my favorite being popular American standards from the 1920's and 30's, big band and jazz. I can play any or all of this at your event.

Here's a picture of me and my first organ. That old thing was, and is, very special to me, and it was played for more hours than I can count.
Recently, I have begun to enter the commercial jingle business, writing commercial music for local businesses for radio.
Also, I enjoy teaching piano to
people who want to learn in a non-traditional way. My method is quicker, easier, and will have
you enjoying and playing the piano at a skilled level in a very short amount of
time. My children have now begun to
enjoy the piano, and this provides me more happiness than I ever could have
imagined.
THAT music
always round me, unceasing, unbeginning--yet long untaught
I did not hear;
But now the chorus I hear, and am elated;
A tenor, strong, ascending, with power and
health, with glad notes of
day-break I hear,
A soprano, at intervals, sailing buoyantly
over the tops of immense
waves,
A transparent bass, shuddering lusciously
under and through the
universe,
The triumphant tutti--the funeral wailings,
with sweet flutes and
violins--all these I fill myself with;
I hear not the volumes of sound merely--I am
moved by the exquisite
meanings,
I listen to the different voices winding in
and out, striving,
contending with fiery vehemence to excel each
other in emotion;
I do not think the performers know
themselves--but now I think I
begin to know them.
